Your EDDM job is priced based on specific "press run" quantity breaks. You pay a flat rate for printing and mailing services based on the total number of addresses selected. However, postage is only charged for the actual number of addresses you choose.
Current press run quantities are:

Examples:
For 1580 pieces, you pay for a press run of 2500 and postage for 1580 pieces.
For 1001 pieces, you pay for a press run of 2500 and postage for 1001 pieces.
Exceeding the press run quantity by even one address moves you to the next tier.
To optimize costs, try to match your address count to the press run quantities. Address routes vary significantly in the number of listings per route.
